Cool wood/metal coffee table - Murray Coffee Table

This table is made of old oak reclaimed from the floors and ceilings of American textile mills finds new life in our simple, soulful furniture.  Set on linear steel frames, the thick planks are    washed with sheer gray paint to highlight and preserve their distressed character.

Inset spacers make the wood top appear to float above the clean-lined metal base.  Nicks, scuffs and other evidence of its former history lend the wood rough-hewn character. Base is made of square-stock steel, expertly welded and hand finished.  A matte acrylic sealant protects the painted wood, while glossy lacquer seals the raw steel against rust.

Due to the nature of reclaimed materials, each table is unique.

A design classic
USM Modular Furniture Haller was created with origins in architecture. More than 40 years ago, engineer Paul Schärer and architect Fritz Haller collaborated in developing a system of furniture based on modular architectural structures combining elegance and technical perfection. Today it is considered a design classic and has been acquired for the permanent design collection of The Museum of Modern Art in New York.

I have always loved their modular storage units.  They come in various colors, a few different materials, dimensions, etc.  They are super adaptive and can be used in an office or retail environment as well as in your home.  Great quality, made in Switzerland and never out of style.  Love them since ever!

Classic Le Corbusier Chaise Longue - LC4

One of my favorite classics!  Designed by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand, produced by CassinaDesigned in 1928, the LC4 Chaise Longue (or “long chair” in English) was dubbed the “relaxing machine" because of the way it mirrors the body's natural curves while appearing to float above its supports. An infinite number of sitting angles are achievable with the LC4, as the moveable frame adjusts along the base, from upright to full recline. The LC4 is included in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art. Each piece is signed and numbered and, as a product of Cassina's Masters Collection, is manufactured by Cassina under exclusive worldwide license from the Le Corbusier Foundation. Made in Italy.
